Why I Use and Recommend B&H

I really like B&H – I’ve liked them from the get go. I have more than once been accused of, for a lack of better terms, wh**ing them out on this site. I don’t mind doing it because they are a company I use myself. In the interest of full disclosure: all of the links to B&H on this site link to them using their affiliate program because the purchases you make through those links help pay for the upkeep and maintenance of this and other sites we run.

I have purchased light stands, flashes, umbrellas, lenses, computer equipment, video equipment, reflectors and so much more from them over the past few years.

I have only had two problems with any of my orders from them – both of which were minor and resolved in under 6 hours.

What Problems have I had with B&H?

  1. Missing Pieces
My First order from B&H, arrived at my house – it was my first lighting setup – a continuous lighting setup. I eagerly opened it up and found the umbrella attachment was missing. I called the phone number on my packing order and they assured me there would be a replacement one in the mail on it’s way to my house in the next shipment and it arrived at my house in record time – 2 days if I recall correctly.
  2. Delayed Back Order
Today I received an email saying that an item I had ordered that I knew was on back order wouldn’t get in to their warehouse to be shipped out till the end of the week. I dropped a note asking if the other item could be shipped – their response was a big ‘ol yes via email within 5 hours and with no additional shipping charge.
Update: They got me all my items overnight once my back ordered items came in! Love it!

I don’t use their affiliate links just because their affiliate links have a wonderful payout percentage for web publishers (which they do) but also because I love ordering from this company and will continue to do so as long as I have the opportunity.
